Jack In The Box with Cameron
Amy was at work (the Seattle office) and Dillan was sleeping, so Cameron and I went out for lunch at Jack In The Box.

Cameron and I went to Dick's Sporting Goods and picked up some cleats, socks, and shin guards. Now he's all ready for his first day of soccer practice tomorrow. He's growing up so fast.
We got together with Kim and Chris, and went out to nearby Jordan lake for the afternoon. It wasn't too crowded and the water was great. It's not the same as going to the beach, but it's so close and convenient, which makes it a really nice alternative.
Haha, check out Dillan's banana. I just saw this and it made me laugh so much that I had to take a picture.
I know, I know. I have a dirty mind...
We've had a lot of fun at the neighborhood pool this summer. Last summer, our first in the neighborhood, Dilly was too young for us to really take advantage of the pool. Now that he's a little older and a little more independent, it's easier for all to enjoy ourselves.
Cameron's learning his way around the pool and getting more comfortable with the water. He was deathly afraid of the water slide until I made him go down it. Now he can't get enough.
Dillan loves the water and has no fear of it. He'll walk right into deep water and he pushes away from us when we carry him around in the pool. It wouldn't surprise me if he were swimming on his own by next summer.
Joining the pool this summer was definitely money well spent.
We drove up to NoVa to help Amy's mom instal some new wood floors in her basement. I'd never installed wood flooring before, so this was new for me. Fortunately it was quite a bit easier than I thought it would be. The flooring was engineered tiger wood, and I think it turned out looking really nice. Now I'm looking forward to redoing some wood floors at home...
