The New Shitter
Since we moved into this house, we've had more clogged toilets than anywhere else we've ever lived combined. I knew something had to be wrong so I called my Dad. He was a plumber for several years when I was younger, so I thought he might be able to shed some light on the problem.
After a quick call to friend of his that's still in "the biz", he told us that we basically just had crappy toilets (no pun intended) that were know for getting clogged.
We have 2.5 baths, all with the same kind of toilet. Since my Dad was in town, I asked him to show me how to replace one so that I could eventually replace the other two also. It was really easy to do, and it only took us about 30 minutes.
We picked a Kohler toilet from Lowe's for just under $300, and so far it's worked great. No clogs.
